#RedWednesday – Lighting up St Mirin’s Cathedral 22nd November 2017 – Aid to the Church in Need

Published: November 17, 2017 Category: Diocese News

Dear Friends, #RedWednesday is a unique opportunity to Stand Up for Faith and Freedom – in this country and around the world – and to shine a light on the persecution of Christians and other faith groups today. By joining us in prayer, by wearing red, lighting your church red, by organising red-themed activities or attending #RedWednesday events, you will be doing something peaceful and positive to highlight the suffering – injustices, discrimination, violence, oppression, torture and death – of so many Christians and others today which goes largely unnoticed by the world. Your prayer-action will make a huge difference. If you can, please help us amplify our campaign by tagging us in your personal, parish, school, university or group social media posts using #redwednesday and @acn_uk Please also help by encouraging support for the thousands of families in Iraq and Syria who, with winter approaching, still urgently need food, clothing, shelter, medicine and fuel for heating and cooking to survive.
